Is it my weight? Or are my expectations to high?
Well I'm 16. I live with my dad and my two older brothers so there's no one to talk to about this so... I go to a very small private school (around 32 high schoolers). I am 5'10" and I weigh 189. I don't really know anyone outside of my school and I have never had a boyfriend or even been asked out . All of my friends in my school have had boyfriends even ones bigger than me. Guys don't even seem to notice me and I'm not shy or anything like that and I just don't understand why no one seems to think of me as anything more than a friend. There's this one boy that I really like but he usually goes for the thinner girls but he is my friend and we hang out all the time but he will never think of me as anything more! I just don't know what to do?

At the end of the day hun, weight should not be an issue when it comes to having a boyfriend. Someone should like/love you for you, not for someone your not. Looks are not everything, its personality that matters. Its just a shame there are shallow people in the world that cannot see through that. Beauty is only skin deep. I'm not saying your not pretty or your overweight I'm just trying to make you realise that looks shouldn't matter.

Perhaps you have just not found mr right. Lets face it your 16. Your still young, free, single and need to enjoy life, your only young once! Mr right will come along one day and you will know when he does! At 16 your just finding your feet, yes your mates are probably like "well ive got a boyfriend, im popular" it means nothing. Boyfriends aren't for show. Its someone to spend time with, have fun with, relax with, enjoy being with, share moments with, be happy. Yes every relationship is likely to have ups and downs, but boyfriends are more than for show!

If your weight does bother you, why don't you try and follow a healthy eating plan. By no means am I saying diet. You shouldn't do that, but eating healhily is recommendable to anyone. Things like 5 portions of fruit and veg, a balaned diet with not too much sugar and fats. Drinking plenty of liquid and if possible water. All this will help you to feel better in yourself and be more confident. You could always join a gym with some friends or go walking or cycling or swimming. And who knows taking part in social events may introduce you to more lads, and you may find mr right?

    Good luck hun! Take care

Personality is what will eventually get you noticed. If you are outgoing and friendly buys will find you.
