7 yr old son won't stool in toilet
My son will be 7 in January and we can't consistently get him to have his bowel movements in the toilet. We went through an entire training program to reteach him what the sensation of needing to go feels like, relaxing the muscles so it comes out, etc. It was working well for a while, then summer hit and daddy didn't keep him on the schedule like he had when in school and he's back to hit and miss. Some days it's a battle to even get him to sit on the toilet! Any suggestions? I'm at my whits end. We try not to get upset and angry with him, as this doesn't help, but after you've cleaned up his butt for the third time in one day and washed all those nasty underwear, it gets very hard not to yell. I know he's probably ADHD, his father is and he has a lot of those traits. How do I get this kid to stop stooling in his underwear and how do I get him not to lie about it afterwards? HELP!

Does he let it just stay in his underwear and not say anything?
If it were me, I would get the big kid pull-ups. Let him know that if he is going to continue to do this, then he is going to have to wear these.
I don't know if it will work, but it is worth a try.

Have you contacted his doctor to see what could be causing this behavior?
