I have a girl English bulldog. She had an affection on her neck [bottom].I cleaned it out but she has this wound from the affection. How long will stay and/or will it stay forever?:eek:

Kelly, how did you clean it out? Without knowing what the infection was from or being able to examine your dog online it is hard to give the appropriate advice. If the wound seems large, I would suggest you try to get her into the vet tomorrow to examine the wound and get her onto antibiotics to ensure an infection doesn't set in. If it is a small "sore", try dabbing it with some hydrogen peroxide tonight and see how it looks in the morning. If it is red, very irritated, looking like there is pus developing, you have to try to get her into the vet asap. Do not let it go another day. If it appears to be drying out, just dab a little more hydrogen peroxide on it again. Do this 2 to 3 times a day. The HP will ensure that it won't get infected. Keep us posted on how she is doing.

All the pus and stuff is gone. But she has a mark were it was will it stay forever.

The hair should eventually grow back after the area has healed over completely. Sometimes it doesn't, but if that happens, it won't be anywhere near as noticeable as it is now. You just need to give it time.
