3 year old house with failing septic
I live in a house that is 3 years old, we had it built in 2004. My husband was raking the yard the other day & noticed a large wet spot w/an odor above our septic system. It appears that the leach field is failing. We have contacted our builder & explained the problem. He told us to find our septic design & call him back. We have tried to call him back four times and he has not answered or called us back. I guess my question is this: How much responsibility does or should he have on helping fix this issue where it is only three years old? I feel that he should pay for the repairs, am I totally off base here?

Three years old, you are likely stuck. Try and determine who built the system. I am sure the builder had a contractor do it. Maybe they will take responsibility.

I was afraid of that... thanks for the info. I'll try and find out who the contractor is. :(
