OK, here is the question my friend is having lipo on her stomach and love handles (yes its really for my friend) and she wants to know what she should expect and also how long before she can have sex. There is no changing her mind but any suggestions will help.

Expect pain, bruising, and more pain. Yes, Lipo is painful. Recovery for every person is different, it can take as little as 2 weeks or as long as 6 weeks. These are all questions she needs to discuss with her doctor prior to the procedure.

Thank you for your help, she was mostly concerned about the length of time she had to wait before having sex. She is too embarrassed to ask her doctor, so we were hoping maybe someone would know.

Again, the recovery is different for every person. Without knowing her medical history and exactly which kind of lipo they are performing, it is impossible to answer this question.

She's embarrassed to ask her doctor? Yet he will see her virtually naked on the table? Goodness, LOL

She needs to ask him, I'm sure he has heard that question a thousand times, one more won't make a difference.

That is true. She has a appoitment but does not know her doctor at all it was a refferal. She is just embarrassed to ask that kind of stuff she is only 20 years old. I told her not to do it but she won't change her mind.

J_9 is right. I don't think there is a correct answer to that, most likely whenever the pain subsides. I would wait at least two weeks...
