Need a wiring diagram for a JANITROL HPT 18-60 thermastat

Wire Diagram for HPT 18-60:

Y = Yellow
G = Green
R = Red
O = Orange
W = White
E = Brown
C = Black

My system is wirred a bit different. I too have a Janitrol HPT 18-60 on my heat pump. It is wirred like this...
Y=Yellow
G=Green
R=Red
O=Orange
W2 and E both are connected with the White Wire
C= Blue

I have a New Hunter Model 44360 and don't know how to wire it...
Hope someone can help me??

I see the same wiring as Renegar's on my 18-60:

Y=Yellow
G=Green
R=Red
O=Orange

I can also see a light violet loose wire...

I have a similar problem. I am attempting to replace a Janitrol HPT 18-60 with a Proliphix NT-100e.

The original tstat had the following wiring:

Y - Yellow
G - Green
R - Red
O - Black
W2 - White
C - Blue
E - Silver

I believe that the silver wire is a jumper to the white wire; however, that cannot be confirmed. Additionally, the connections on the air handler are slightly different. Specifically there is an orange wire on the air handler connected to O. Which would be much more consistent with normal HVAC wiring.

I have connected the terminals on the Proliphix NT-100e as follows:

Y1 -- Yellow as the compressor
G -- Green as the fan
Rh -- Red as the 24 VAC
Black -- Y2 as the reversing valve for cool
White -- W1 as the auxiliary heat
Blue -- Taped off, Proliphix tstat does not require a common
Silver -- Taped off, no short required.

Any thoughts?

We have a heat pump with heat strips as the aux heat source.

Then the t-stat you have is not the right one for what you are trying to do, you will need to get a 2 heat thermostat. It will have a aux and e terminal.

I have a Janitrol HPT 18-60 but no longer have a heat pump. I have a straight AC and heater now. The only way I can get the heat to work is to turn on the switch at the bottom of the T-Stat. I want to by pass this switch so that the thermostat works on the heat. How do I switch the wiring to make it work.

I have a Janitrol HPT 18-60 that I would like to replace with a Honeywell RTH6450. I have Y (yellow) G (green) R (red) O (orange) W2 (white) E (black) and C (blue) on the Janitrol. I have replaced wire for wire until I got to the W2 wire. The Honeywell tells me stop if I have W2. From my research on the Janitrol, I understand that E (black) controls the auxiliary and the W2 (white) controls the emergency heat. The diagram on the Honeywell shows either E or W, W1 or W2, so I'm figuring I can't use both together but I need both wires. What do I do?

Everything your describ ing in the wiring is correct, except I have a black instead of brown on E, should I put the W2 and E wire together?
