    I lost my sound
    hello I just reformatted my hard drive with windows xp service pack 2 and now I got no sound and I got an ! Mark next to a driver called Vinyl AC'97 codec combo driver it says it cannot start help T_T here's my com info

    Is this an on-board sound card? If so, go to the motherboard's website and download the sound drivers from there, that way you will get the most up to date drivers for your sound card. If this does not work, I would suggest just buying a new sound card, they are not expensive at all (around $30) and they sound much better then an on board sound card.
