    Need tax money!
    : just received a garnishment for my taxes,but the third party withholding unit is the STATE OF MICHIGAN does that mean that they will only tack state tax ?

    Apparently, the state of Michigan believes you owe them some form of payment (property tax, state income tax, court judgement, child support, alimony, traffic citation fine, whatever) and the IRS agrees.

    Contact Michigan and find out what it is.
