    Printer won't print
    I have tried to download my lexmark printer and it took it and when I go to control panel and look in their the printer says ready to use but when I try to print a page a small screen pops up and reads unable to print disconnect usb or disconnect power or restart computter and after all that it will still not print help me please!! :(

    Midnight,

    When you downloaded the new code from the Lexmark site, did you install the new code?

    What model of printer are you using and what is your operating system?

    If you have already unpacked the driver then you need to restart the printer and PC because the changes will not be incorporated until the POR cycle.

    What I expect you to see on the screen when you boot back up is a "New Equipment Found" message on the PCs screen.

    Also, depending on the type of printer, go into the maintenance section and run some internal tests to see if the printer can print in stand-alone mode. If those pages print out, then the problem is isolated to the PC and Communication link.

    Tina,

    Yes he got a response from someone. I responded yesterday to this item!

    Your issue is not the same as this one. This issue is about installing new code. Your issue is a dead printer. :)
