Of course you're still responsible, it doesn't matter if you meet the requirements of something else you needed the money for, you still took out the loan.

Yes, and if you got the money under fraud, without planning on going to the school, you could even have some criminal issues also.

But yes, if you got the money and did not pay, you will owe the money.
