No hot water pressure after replacing upstairs shower fixtures
    Hello all.
I tore out the wall and replaced all of my upstairs shower knobs and shower head. The cold water runs fine, but when I turn on the hot full blast, I just get a trickle. Worked fine before (was just leaking). The sink hot water works well.
Is there a pressure issue I need to know about for hot water? Or some kind of priming I need to do to get it started? Or did I just get a defective fixture set? Any suggestions appreciated.
    Thanks
    Pat

It sounds like your water pressure hot/cold in the house is not the problem, just the mixing valve. No priming needed but some detective work. I'd remove the mixing valve and I won't go throough all the steps since you onviously just did all this. Put a towel over the valve opening and have your main opened for a moment to clean out the lines. Inspect the bottominlet of the new mixing valve for debris. Try to blow air through the valve and move the handle back and forth to hot/cold. Come back and let us know how you are getting along.
