    Bumps on face?
I have some small bumps on my cheeks and sides of chin... and some on my forehead. The are flesh coloured, and not very big. They look like they are raised up around pours on my skin. They are only red in colour a bit when I shave. Also, they tend to fade a bit a few hours after shaving. Any thoughts?

Sounds to me like your skin is a little too oily or you could be under stress. Toothpaste will dry out the skin or you can try some proactive, otherwise if its stress, you would need to figure out away to relieve your stress. Working out, cardio or whatever floats your boat

Makes sense. I read that facial cleaners with harsh chemicals and/or uses abrasive materials to scrub your face can cause it as well. I never noticed these bumps until I started using stuff like Nivea to clean my face and a scrubby thing to do the washing. The spots only exist in areas that are very oily on my face. Sound right on to you?

Hm, good idea. I looked online to see pictures of something called milia, but that's not what this is. Mine is more like a raised ring with a hole in the center... they aren't very big, and only one or two can be felt by touch. It looks like they form around pours on my forehead and cheeks.

I'm pretty sure it's Sebaceous Hyperplasia. I've seen a few pictures of it, and with the description, it's dead on. Fortunately it's nothing to worry about other than vanity. So, any ideas on treatments? I guess I can look that up on WebMD or something as well.

It's sounds like you may have razor bumps or pseudofolliculitis. Pseudofolliculitis, also known as razor bumps is caused by irritation from shaving and ingrown hairs. And bumps will appear after shaving when strands of hair curl back on themselves and grow into the skin. This can cause irritation and the development of pimples. Don't worry, Pseudofolliculitis is a common problem which effects men. It is recommended that you use a benzoyl peroxide cream or a benzoyl peroxide wash to help reduce bacteria and clear up the bumps. You should try rinsing your razor thoroughly or replace the blades every week. Another option to use an electric razor, it will help prevent razor bumps.
