How can I show him I really care?
I've been with this guy for a little over 3 years. Things have always been rough for us. We were finally working things out and getting settled again. But he got mad at me the other night about something really random and non-important. He's been actting weird ever since. I don't know what is going on and I'm sort of scared. I don't want to lose him after everything we've been through but I don't know how to talk to him about it. I love him to death. I need to do something to win back his affections, but he thinks everything I've done was just for myself and that I don't really care about him. How can I show him that I care. I really need help. The holidays are around the corner and I want them to be perfect for us but I need to show him I care before they are here. Please help me.

Have you tried talking to him? How does he react when you do? If he won't communicate with you and won't attempt to make the relationship work, then despite "everything you've been through" it may be time to say goodbye and break it off.

He does listen though, it's a trust thing. He tries I know he does, I ventured away from him over the summer and he realized a lot of things. But he's scared, too be honest I'm scared as well, But I'm trying to hold both of us up and I just need him to know I still care. *sigh*

Ok, #1 stop trying to show him you care. It sounds to me that you care too much about him and the relationship is already going down the wrong path. How does he appreciate you? How does he show you that he cares about you? Sounds kind of one sided. I know you have been through a lot with him, and you want to be with him for the holidays and all, but I have got to tell you sometimes the men we want just are not for us. Sometimes letting go is what keeps them there. I sounds to me that he is picking fights over small things to get a reaction out of you.

Try this, Say "Baby, I Love you, and you are important to me, but I come first in my life, I have to have a relationship that I can feel loved in as well. If you feel that you want to go, good luck finding a girl like me that has been through thick and thin with you for so long. To be honest im tired of the complications and the petty fights. It will be hard but God will bring my perfect soul mate into my life, smile and say hopefully before the holidays, because I deserve to be happy. The intire time you are speaking smile and stay light, you are not desperate, you are a beautiful woman whom thousands of guys would kill for. One man does not defind who you are. It is hard you might cry but do it in private and stay strong. Truth is people only have the power you give them.

This probably isn't the answer you want to hear but here it goes. We draw people into our lives that mirror how we treat ourselves. If you truly want to be happy than give the attention and love to yourself then stand back and see who you draw to you!
