Odd Sound After Furnace Turns Off
Hey All, I hope you can answer my question and set my mind at ease :)

After my furnace turns off (the very second) it makes this "creak" or low vibrato deflating kind of sound. It usually happens twice back to back. It never did that before and it just started this year. Should I be concerned? I live in the basement so if anything "blew"... I'd be in the line of fire LOL

I just wanted to let you all know that it turned out to be a blocked heating/water pipe? I actually had no heat whatsoever for 3 days or so! The heating guy came and said we needed a plumber! So the plumber unlclogged and changed some "female Motorized valve" plug and poof.. done.

((female Motorized valve" plug and poof.. done.))

Those Motorized Female Thing A Majig's valves once plugged in will do it every time. Usually when they go poof they also take your money. LOL Glad you got it fixed.

My AC is cooling OK, after I spent $250 last week having a new blower motor put in the furnace unit, but it continues to make a "knocking" sounds for a minute or two after the fan shuts off. It's so loud it wakes me up, which is why I'm posting at 5:20 A.M.; I also noticed that the line is icing up.
