    Importing from Chinese Pollution Factories
We are Importing Containers every 2 days:
In my company we import many (hopefully lead free) polycarbonate items.
I was told that the reason we could not just produce the stuff here is
Because of the US pollution laws involving the air and disposal
Of chemicals (wage factors as well). It would cost too much
For the equipment and disposal charges to be legal.
However in China you can get away with it.

    My Question:
If we care so much about this planet (like we say we do)
Then why should we condone pollution on any part of it?

    My Thinking:
I know we cannot make laws in other countries but I think
Its obvious they depend on us greatly. We capitalize on their plight,
But not only that, we are allowing them to poision their own environment.
I do NOT agree with this. We cannot effectively compete in certain markets with other companies in China who are allowed to use procedures that we Americans would deem harmful and or illegal. C-mon I mean, 90% of the shoes sold in the US are made in China alone.

    Compare:
If we saw unfair child labor practices we'd be cutting off the factory in a New York second. Now I would care enough to think that polluting a nearby water supply would affect a whole community of children.
