I would say you are really really close... the "show" doesn't have to be tinged with blood... they bring that to your attention, because if it is tinged with blood you are to call your doctor or go to the hospital immediately. I lost my mucus plug a few weeks before I had my daughter... it was after I went to the bathroom, it was very slimy and jelly-like, but no blood... so they told me not to worry.

I would say you probably lost your plug... but just keep a close eye on contractions or your water breaking or leaking... I bet labor is right around the corner :)

Is the baby stilling moving around and/or kicking? Usually when you are ready to go into labor there is very little if any movement from the baby.

Have you called your doctor to see what they say?

Was the discharge like mucus ? That could have been your mucus plug, When I lost my mucus plug I went into labor 5 days later.. and I did have spotting a couple days be4 I lost my mucus plug.. you will know when you start having contractions I was the same way since your so close every little pain is going to make you wonder whether its time but you will know when you are having contractions and they will last anywhere from 10-30 minutes apart.. your almost there..

How are you feeling today mummy? Bet you are having contractions in your back! I went through that. Have your partner/midwife/anybody ball their fist up and put pressure in the small of your back right above your tailbone. It will release the pressure on your back. I would say the baby will be here any day now... Good Luck and CONGRATS!!
