    Old oil tank
I have a almost empty heating oil tank in my basement which needs to be removed.
More than likely it will have to be cut in several pieces to get it up the stairs and out of the house.
My question is there any danger of fire or explosion if it would be cut up with a sawzall?
Or does anybody have any other ideas for removal.

    Thanks for any info

It will take pretty much heat or spark to lite liquid fuel oil. If you are concerned remove all the oil then remove the tank. It went down the stairs in one piece so I would figure it could go back up the stairs the same way.
