    Termperature in house
My house is about 25 years old. Ever since I have owned it the basement is much warmer than upstairs. As you walk up the stairs you can actually feel the cold. If I turn the heat up than it is too warm downstairs. This is during the winter time. To be upstairs you need a sweater or blanket. The basement is much more comfortable termperature wise. Why? What can I do to get some heat upstairs?

Guessing. Hot air heat? You can't heat the air, if you don't return any. Are their cold/hot air returns in the house? Does the furnace have a single return?

Look at insulating the ducts and sealing any leaks.

I think my house is normal the basement is cool and the heat is in the living

Areas of the house... Do you have heat from registers in the basement, they

May need to be closed or covered to put heat in living areas and not in basement.

The path of least resistance heat comes out in basement if not controlled
