    Ceiling fan light
I installed a ceiling fan with a light kit. The fan works fine with the remote control. The light works fine with the remote control. The problem I have is the light switch on the wall will turn off the light but will not turn on the light... any suggestions??

This is due to it being a remote fan/light kit. I have the same style in my house. You can change the wiring so the light works off the switch and not the remote.

That's just the way it is. You're supposed to leave the switch on and control the light from the remote.
