    Laptop keyboard not responding
I have a Vaio, and the keyboard doesn't work but only in Windows. I can access to the BIOS, I can press F8 to choose safe mode or else, and either normally or in safe mode, Keyboard is not responding. Plugging a usb one is fine, trackball is fine, external mouse is OK. Nothing special in the device manager (tried to uninstall the keyborad and restart the machine - nada.

    ANy help appreciated.

Since it works without windows running, I would think it's a driver issue. If you can get into device manager Right click my computer > properties > hardware > device manager) and delete all the keyboards from there (+ sign by Keyboards, right click and uninstall on each one) , then reboot, it should load new drivers for it.

While you're there, also check to make sure that the keyboard isn't disabled (it would have a red X by it if it was)
