    downgrading apartment.
I am downgrading from my 2b/2b apartment to a 1b/1b apartment due to financial issues. However; they are forcing me to sign an entirely new lease. I have been told by many many many people that if it is in the same apartment complex, or a place under the same management that they shouldn't be doing this. Switching apartments shouldn't extent how long I am to stay at this complex.

Also, I have been in this current apartment for 2 months so far. When I moved in I was told by Comcast when my cable was hooked up that the wiring in this area of the building is old and for my cable to work properly some wires need replacing and to get a note from management giving the company permission to do this... I have never received a letter of any form.
And there are more wiring issues. The wiring in the light in my dining room and 2nd bedroom(which was supposed to be for my daughtor when I have her) are having issues. The light in the dining room turns on and off at random and the light in the bedroom makes this strange buzzing noise. I told the office about this and they did nothing about it, a month later they did apartment inspection, with the lady that works in the office the man doing the inspection. He told us both that the wiring issue in the bedroom was a firehazard... another month later it is still not fixed. I read my lease and it says nothing about this in my lease. Being that I don't think it is legal to allow someone to move into an apartment with fire hazards would this be grounds to terminate my lease without penalty?

Any answers tonight would be great because I am supposed to move tomorrow and I refuse to sign the new lease before I find out if there is anything else I can do to get out of here and go someplace cheaper. Having a little girl on the way, I don't want to be stuck in a one bedroom.

PS- I live in central Florida, if that helps anything.
