    Am I a citizen?
I moved to the US when I was 5 years old from the philippines 1977-78. My father was an active US NAVY and became a naturalize citizen... was my father during that year required to apply for our naturalization. So that my brother and I to become US citizens?
Do we fall under derivative citizenship? Please help,. thanks:)

Check with the INS. But I don't believe you are citizens unless you were born to citzens or become naturalized yourself.
