Any other women out there get criticized for being "the man" in the relationship?
I posted before how my current BF thinks I'm not affectionate enough. The funny thing is, one of my friends brought up, when I was explaining everything to her, that it sounds like I am "the man" and he is "the woman". I don't agree with a 1950s stereotype of who does what, but I was wondering how many women out there are like this?

Honestly, I hate holding hands, detest cuddling (prefer to sleep in separate bed), like sex, but don't really use it to emotionally connect to anyone, like being left alone, crave the excitement of the chase in regards to new relationships, etc, etc.

My last several relationships have all been like this, and while I honestly feel I love the person, they don't seem to feel loved.

Is this weird or completely normal?

I should add I've never been abused, came from a two parent home, etc.

Wow!! Sorry to say you do sound like the man of the relationship. That is exactly how my husband is. He hates cuddling, holding hands, likes sex but, goes without it. He likes sleeping alone cause he can have the whole bed but, has never told me that I can't sleep with him. Sometimes I give him spare especially if we fought that day.
It's very werid for the woman not to want those things. But, that is you and if that's the way you want to be, then go for it. Don't change unless you want to. Try to show him in another way that you love him. Like go do things, example... movies. Do you tell him that you love him? Me and my husband are werid to. We're not like most couples. We don't go everyday telling each other that we love them. Hardly ever say it. But, there are other ways of knowing. Hope things will be OK with you and your man.
