More wires than most At the thermostat
OK, hers the deal. I installed a new digi thermo this summer. Everything worked fine.
Now the heat won't come on. After reading this site I think I know why. I just can't figure out how to fix the problem.
I need to put the old therm back. But I have more wires than I see listed anywhere or different colored wires.
    I have
    Red
    Yellow
    Blue
    Tan
    Orange
    Black
    Brown
    Green.
    The connections on the thermo are Y G R O W1 W2 E F C the F wasn't used. But I don't know where they go.
    BTW Bryant is the brand

You use heat in the summer?

That stat is a 2 state Heat Pump Thermostat.

I have no idea where F goes. The tstat manual should tell you. It MIGHT be an indicator.

C is a relatively new addition to thermostats and is required when the stats are not "power stealing" and don't use batteries except for backup.

You don't necessarily have to use all the wires.

I guess, for now, I'll refer you to the sticky at the top of the forum.
