Frigidaire dryer not staying hot
Frigidaire dryer running but not staying hot. The ignitor comes on, and the gas comes on and it lights, and stays on for 4-5 minutes, then the flame and ignitor goes out. I have checked the thermostats, they are shorted. I have checked the coils and I have continuity, between 500 and 1500 ohms. I have checked the heat sensor that is by the ignitor and it is shorted, and appears to be working. It seems as though one of those things is opening up. I have removed the vent duct and cleaned it from the inside of the dryer all the way outside of the house, so I know I have no restriction.
The parts are between $30 - $50 each so I don't want to go replacing parts without having some idea of what may be wrong.

I need you to let the dryer run and let the burner cycle on and off several times. If you start to notice that after it cycles several times that the igniter comes on but the burner doesn't light you have bad coils on the top of the valve.

Thank you. I did what you suggested and the ignitor is now coming on but the burner does not light. When this happens, there is 120V on one side of the holding coil but not on the other side. The secondary coil still has voltage.

Thank you again for the help. I purchased the coil kit (boost and secondary included) for $32 and now my dryer works great.

I have a dryer that I think has the same problem. I am having trouble diagnosing it because there isn't a way to watch the dryer run with the cover off. Is there any other way to diagnose the problem other than visually?

Can the coils be found in the front of the dryer or the back of the dryer??

what makes those coils go? I see it all the time. Is it variation in voltage or the way they are wound?

Okay, after reading everything I can find, especially information from appleguy, I'm looking at one of two possible fuses for why the dryer isn't heating up.
Looking at the parts manual, I can't figure out which of 2 it might be:
1. Thermostat,Safety
Or
2. Thermal Limiter
