    Floor Furnace
I have another floor furnace that worked last year but this year will not. I can light the pilot light but when I release the knob to turn it on the pilot light goes out. Could that be the generator or the gas valve? Or could it be the limit switch? I went under the house and it is wet under the house. We had a lot of rain earlier this year and to me it looks like the furnace may have been in water. Could that have caused the problem?

Yes on the water situation, the gas valve has a vent hole on it and can allow water to get in it , your best bet would be to replace the valve and the pilot generator at the same time to save yourself the labor of taking it apart twice. Good luck, Mike
