No, not really.
You have to guard against crossover from being raised in a religion like Christianity or Islam that stresses the power and control of beings in a Supernatural World to reality, to the real world. Don't look for cause and effect everywhere you look!! Don't get wrapped up in thinking that there is some power controlling everything... Otherwise, you may make yourself sick with this kind of thinking.
I would suggest that you accept everything you see just for what it is in a lovely Creation.
If you want to know why things happen, study science. :):):)
Enjoy your Day

What is your religion? Spiders (as a symbol) have some different meanings around the world, if that's what you mean. I would say, you were appreciating the beauty of nature, and you saw some spiders, that's it. I agree with Choux. You can't read toooo much into stuff.

I do appreciate your opinion. I really didn't get the thing about the spider. I thought the author was just talking randomly about unrelated things and asking that I somehow make sense of something that didn't really make sense, to me at least. I didn't know if my dream was my own mind trying to put me at ease by having me think that my dad is "better off" or at ease and peace. Thanks though.

Absolutely! The Spider is an animal sacred to the Goddess. (I know, they all are, but Spiders, like crows and owls and cats, are especially magickal). The Spider is the weaver, the Patterner. Very powerful. I'd bet anything the smaller spider that crawled out was not her baby, but her mate. In many species, female spiders are much larger. And after hatching the babies don't stick around (see Charlotte's Web if you don't believe me).
So we have the Goddess within the oak (similar to the world tree, Yggdrasil) and the God, consort of the Goddess, on the outside. That makes sense. The Goddess is immanent and the God is transcendent. This was a very powerful sign for you. I take it to mean you are being shown secrets most folks (including some who answer here, *ahem*) aren't shown. And you notice and remember when you see it! Good for you!
Make more offerings. Learn to listen to the wild animals, and the trees, and the wind and water and stones. They speak in their own voices, and in time you can learn to understand them with your heart. They have much wisdom to offer.
Blessings of the Lady and the Lord,
Alder
