    9 yr. old male cat staggers
    My 9 yr old male cat lost his apatite about 3 days ago and his gums are red. Now he is staggering real bad, seems very off balanced and somewhat weak. Pupils seem dilated ears have some loose black gunk in them and has loss some weight. He through up 2 days ago. Today he is still purring and wanting to be loved no fever on his nose using the pan OK. When he jumps down off something he falls over. Any answers??

    Are you kidding me?? Get him to a doctor now!! If you cannot afford one the humane society will hook you up with a vet that will do it for low or no cost... poor baby... what's wrong with you... would you still be asking this if it was a human baby??

    Yes get your cat to the vet. Your cat probably has a ear infection. They will swab his ears and give him some ear ointment. Also they will clean them out, if this is not done properly then the ear meds will not work. They will shoew you how to clean his ears and how to wrap him in a towel/sheet to make it safe for you. It reallly should not be that expensive. Btw any infection that is left untreated is in danger of causing them death.
