    EFI keep blowing
    I have a 95 Toyota Land Cruiser. When I at idle MY EFI fuse keeping. EFI fuse do not blow if I have my foot on gas. If someone have the answer for this please let me know.

    I can't get to my knowledge base right now, but unplug the TPS and give it a try. The TPS is a known problem on many Toyotas, if your truck is idleing when you first start the truck, does it blow the fuse, do you put a good fuse in after you start it, will it start with a bad fuse, do you have to hold the gas pedal open to start it with a good fuse installed.

    The EFI fuse feeds to the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Meter and the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV), as well as other components, including but not limited to the PCM and the fuel pump. It does not go to the Throttle Position Sensor.

    The MAF and the IACV are the only two that vary with changes in throttle angle.
    Unplug both of these two loads, install a good fuse, and while the engine is idling, plug in either one and see which takes out the fuse.

    **edit** After repairs are completed, you will need to clear stored codes from the PCM. To do this, disconnect the Battery for a minimum of thirty seconds.

    I've seen way too many efi engine wire harnesses get very hot and melt where the egr pipe is.
    On the other hand, I've seen many of them get overheated in the efi relay box. Pull and inspect efi relay connection.
