    Singer sewing machine jammed
    I can't get my needle to go down as far as it should. It seems like the needle is hitting something hard and won't move. Idon't know what to look for & don't have a manual as it was my Mom's machine.

    What type of machine, if it is a lock stitch machine, it is possible the bobbin "loop" has gotten out of time, and the needle is hitting
