    Installing Programmable thermostat
We have moved into a home that had no furnace, and we are installing a carrier brand furnace, and have a programmable thermostat to install. We have had this thermostat for a while, so I have lost the installation instructions. Every thing I have found on the net say to label the wires when removing the old thermostat. We don't have an old thermostat so I don't know where to begin. The thermostat that I have is a Totaline programmable one. How do I know where each wire goes?

You provided absolutely no info, but if I were you I'd install the Carrier Infinity Control if your furnace will accept it. Without AC, the install is a snap with only 4 wires.

The carrier furnace model and the Thermostat will help. URL's of the manual for that stat would be better. It would help make sure you have the right stat.

You basically said, I bought a car and I need an Engine Control Computer.

Post back with any details you still need help with. You may also be able to find the directions on the Totaline website.
