Some auto auctions are open only to licensed motor vehicle dealers and others are open to anyone. I do not think you have the luxury of taking the veh out of the auction to have it inspected by your mechanice. But perhaps you could take your mechanic with you and you / him might have an opportunity to either inspect before the auction. Why not ask the auction ?

Thanks, everyine has said the same thing. I just started a business and I need another vehicle for my many travels around the state and neighboring states, a relaible vehicle is what I am looking for. However, just starting a business, you need to hold on to as much cash as possible, so an auto auction was an option. However, the warnings and trouble many of the cars possess is not comforting.
