Before we start giving directions lets be 100% sure your furnace has a pilot. How old is it and what brand? Have you observed a pilot light in the past?

I am a bit confuesd. An electronic ignition do not use a pilot light. The electronic ignition is an alternate method to fire up a furnace without the need for a pilot. If you just killed the gas to your furnace it should light autoimatically once the gas is turned back on and there is a call for heat. How did you "put it out myself"

Try unplugging the furnace and plugging it back in, make sure the gas valve is turned to on inside the furnace as well as the valve outside the furnace. Does your igniter spark? Your furnace may be in lock out due to trying to start with no gas. Good luck Mike

Ace brings up a good point and unplugging for a few minutes (kill breaker if you have to) will do a hard reboot. With the gas turned on it should reignite. The ignitor doesn't really light a pilot, it replaces the pilot and will only spark or glow if there is a call for heat.

I can't light my pilot. Because there's no pilot button to push, it has a control knob; that only goes to on or off. The knob doesn't depress down or up. It has a pilot adjust screw and that's it. How do I light it?

Chance, you really should start your own post and not jump into somebody else. It can get us confused. I guess thgis is a furnace and it might have a few years. Can you give use a brand and approximate age? Shut off the gas if the pilots out, allow the furnace to vent for at least 15 minutes. If there is a thermocouple itwill be right next to the pilot. Try turning on the gas and immediately light the pilot by placing your flame between the pilot and the thermocouple. If there is no thermocouple don't try anything, just come back with the brand and age.
