    I had to take one when I was 18, and I was grateful for something of the sort, because I was kidnapped and raped and it was a great relief to know that I would not have to carry a baby by this man. So I would say it's pretty safe for you.

    Like any medication you risk side-effects, but its safe enough to be offered by doctors and clinics. Your age won't make it better or worse than if you were 47.
