    Hello Vel:

    If you HAVE charges, they NEVER go away. The SOL limits the time they have to BRING charges. But, once they've been brung, the SOL ends.

    Depends where in Canada you are.

    In Ontario, the SOL is 2 years since Jan 1, 2004, and 6 years before that.

    The debt never goes away, the SOL though limits the time they can take you to court to get the money back.
