    viewing a home for sale
Hello, my girlfriend was just told to view a property we found on MLS for Hellertown, PA that she would need to sign paperwork (my girlfriend mentioned disclosure paperwork)? I am not aware of any paperwork that needs to be signed to view a house for sale. My concern is that this realtor is trying to get my girlfriend to sign paperwork that will make the realtor represent my girlfriend during the house buying process. Can someone tell me if a property for sale on the open market truly needs any "paperwork" to be signed to just be viewed by a potential buyer?

(URL for the listing is as follows) MLS

    Thank you!

The agent wants her to sign an agreement for her use them as her buyer agent, most likely.

You could find another agent to show you the house. I don't have my buyers sign the agreement until they want to write a contract on a property, but some agents are more desperate.

Sorry, meant to ask - was the listing agent wanting the "disclosure" or another agent?

Thank you for the quick response Emland! The listing agent was wanting the "disclosure."

Find a buyer's agent (ask if they make you sign an agreement) and have them arrange the appointment to view the property. That way you aren't obligated.
