Hi,
This is my first post here. My ex-wife is seeking additional child support years after our divorce. The child is now in college.

The reason my ex gave for asking for the increase is increased expenses of raising the child.
1. Does she have to prove this BEFORE I'm dragged through the courts?
2. Does she have to prove an expense increase of 15% (or whatever) as a minimum?

Since the child is at school 9 months a year, I'm having trouble figuring out how expenses could really increase that dramatically.

3. Will the courts take that into account?
4. Can a motion for dismissal (or whatever) be submitted to have this thrown out?

Sorry, but one more question:

5. Since any financial information I give is going to be used against me (and you do sign that information under the threat of criminal action if it's considered fraudulent), then isn't that a constitutional issue? Having to submit financial information as a matter of course is unbelievable to me.
