Lets start with this, I'm 20 years old, and for the first time I started taking ortha tricyclen lo (sp) about a month ago. For the first week my boyfriend and I used a condom, and we have ever since. About a 5 days ago, for the first time we had sex and didn't use a condom since I was on BC. I can admit that he did come in me. When we had sex I had 2 more pills left to take and then I started my "green pills" before I went on birth control I got my period within the second week of the month. Usually starts around the 7th or 8th. I have taken my birth control pills on the right days (I haven't skipped any) and at the same time everyday. (give or take a minute or two) now that I have started my green pills, I still haven't gotten my period and it was supposed to come either yesterday or today. For the past 3 days I have been getting a slight brown discharge, not enough, but just a little bit. I also keep getting symptoms that's I'm going to be getting my period, but when I go check nothing is there. I'm just worried that the one time my boyfriend and I didn't use a condom which we always do, could I now be pregnant, or do you think my taking my birth control would have kicked in and prevented the pregnancy.

You should be fine. Sometimes when you first start the pill it can take a few months to actually start regulating. A lot of women don't actually start their periods until the 3rd or 4th sugar pill. If you don't get it all next month then you should take a test, but your BC should have kicked in when you and your boyfriend had unprotected sex.

Girl, I recommend you continue to use condoms with your b/f, because my wife's mom has two kids, my wife, and my bro-in-law. She got pregnant w/ both when she would get on BC. She wanted to get pregnant, never did, then got on BC and became pregnant with my bro-in-law. The process was repeated and she got pregnant with my wife.

My wife got pregnant 7 weeks ago and she was on birth control. If you are not wanting to have kids, don't depend on birthcontrol. My wife was on yasmin because for 2 months before we went without a condom. Next thing you know... pregnant!
