I am divorced. Kids have been with Mom for last year and a half. During this time I have tried to see them and maintain relationship but have been squeezed out of their lives. A year ago I filed for joint custody of kids (16,15,12) because I was being prevented from seeing them. Went to court and judge ordered family counseling because kids said they didn't want to see me ( I have done nothing to cause them to legitimately feel this way). Counseling proved useless as kids maintained their position and I could not continue to afford the cost. Custody suit still pending but if kids do not want to see me what is the point. My lawyer tells me legally if they do not want to see me they don't have to. He also said due their to age, judge not likely to make them... What do I do?
