I got child support from my father until I turned 20, but that was because I went to college. I think he would have had to pay until I reached 22, had I gotten a Bachelors instead of an Associates. But that's here in MO, I'm not sure if it's the same in other states.

You need to get a copy ofyour child support papers out. What does it say, does it end at 18 or does it go on further? It is all up to your written agreement

This should have been spelled out in the Support agreement. Generally its age 18 or whenever school is finished whichever comes later.

If there was no court ordered support agreement in place, then its up to you when to stop after he hits 18. If he's still in high school I would definitely continue until he graduates HS. But whether you continue into college may be your decision. Of course, if you stop and he is going to college, your ex could take you to court to continue.
