What are a co-signer's rights under a lease agreement pertaining to notice and renewa
What are a co-singer's rights under a lease agreement given also that he lives at the premises. Me and my brother have a lease together where I am the co-signer, the renewal is coming up at the end of November. I think he is trying to renew it without me but he has not told me anything to date. Under these circumstances, in one wishes to not renew with his co-signer tenant, how much time must he give me prior to the expiration if he decided long ago. I also have the feeling that he is not planning on moving out, however, he has moved half of his stuff abruptly on the First of this month and that is how I knew he isn't intending on resigning with me. I think it is a fake to get me out so that he can secretly resign and move back in when this term expires.

Minimum his actions are deceitfully and I am concerned as to what legal standing I have, have my rights if any, have been trampled on by him given the scenario is true. Can I sue for damages if he doesn't give me adequate notice and forces me to be homeless or to be bouncing around? His actions seem to be malicious and I am concerned as to my standing as a co-signer.

Also, if I am to take over the lease will I be subject to the same terms and conditions as the lease offered for renewal by the land lord, particularly regarding the amount charged.

Are you a co-tennent or just the co signer. There is a large difference, a co signer has no real fights to residence.
