    Im looking for my real dad but I don't know the best way to go about it.

    Save some money and hire a private detective.

    First, get as much information as you can from your relatives, his name, his relatives, a job he might have had, a town he lived in, and so forth... private detectives can usually find a person in one day with good information. (Most are former detectives)
