    Can I use romex wire in nyc
    Hi,

    I am buying a new house in brooklyn New York. When the house was being built I notice they were using romex wire instead of bx.
    The home is a 3 family.
    Is it legal to use these wires?

    Yes, Romex is allowed in NYC in one or two family homes 3 stories or less.

    Romex is covered in the National Electric Code Article 334, which NYC refers to.
