    2004 Explorer Brake light will not go off
    My 2004 explorer brake lights will not go off even when the car is off. It is the brake lights because the brake light indicator above the rear window is on also. Can anyone help

    Spray the brake light switch, located just above the brake pedal, with WD-40. Work the pedal several times and the problem should be gone; if it isn't, the switch may need adjusting.

    Unplugging the switch mentioned above should put out the light, verifying at switch.

    2 years later and you guys saved my hide! God bless the internet! Took a little "noching" to get the WD-40 in the switch, but we're good to go now. Thanks.

What would be the problem if the hatch brake light works but the other 2 do not on a 2001 ford explorer . Its not the fuse or the bulbs and if the top light works I didn't think it woul;d be the switch. Help it's my wife's truck
