    Expired H2B visa
    HI
My colleague is from south Africa she came to the us last year on a H2B visa that allowed her to work for six months then leave .
After she finished her six months she got another job offer from another company (before her visa expired) and they promised to extend her visa for another six months and they told her she could start working for them while she waits for her visa extension so she did.
3 months went by while she was working in her new job and she found out that the company she was working for did not file her papers correctly and therefore immigration sent back her papers. Now she is still working for the company even though her visa has expired. Is there anything that she can do to be legal again except marring a us citizen.
She would like to also study.
