    Washing machind p-trap?
    I am building a new house and am wondering if it is necessary to have a p-trap on the washing machine drain line.

    Yes! By law every fixture that has a drain MUST be trapped and vented. If this isn't done you have opened your home to sewer gas. Good luck, Tom
