Should I still be friends after leaving him?
I just left a man after being with him for 6 months. He said we were only buddys, wasn't ready for anything and he is an alcoholic , back on the bottle and a womanizer(just loves women and wants them all). I want to remain friends but yet my brain says no. I do love him, hate being alone. Should I remain friends or completely detach myself from him?

Hate being alone. Red flag. You never just be with somebody because you hate being alone. 6 months is not really long and you know what this person is about so if I were you completely detach yourself from him. This is my own opinion, of course you need to make whatever decision is best for you.

Completely detach yourself, and get a life you enjoy as a single person.

Doesn't sound like the kind of person I'd want for a friend!

Be friends from a distance. In other words detach yourself but let him know that you are there if he needs your support or encouragement to better his life...
