Murray Riding Lawnmower 40606X8A
I have a Murray Riding Lawnmower model number 40606X8A yr code 0880. I need to know what the part number for the clutch spring is. I need to find one for it. My mower cranks and runs, it just won't move. Can anyone help me out with this?

Briggs and stratton now owns murray. The best bet would probably be to take it to a shop that has been around for a while and see if they have any old info on this spring. I know our data only goes 10 yrs. So good luck on finding the info you are searching.

How do I test the safety switch or bypass it to see if that is what it is.Why would it crank while sitting on it ,but know matter what gear it is in(even neutral) it cuts off ,but if you push in clutch/brake quickly it will stay cranked ?
My Question is That my Lawnmower will crank but when you release the clutch/brake it dies! Why would it do this?
I was mowing my lawn and mower was running fine. I shut it off for a moment and when I tried to start it again, I got nothing but a click at the solenoid. It has a brand new battery that has a good charge. Any suggestions? Also, if it is the solenoid, any good sites to find one?
