Older GE elec 5 cycle dryer does not heat
I have a older GE 5cycle electric dryer Model PDE8200RBMWH in our lakehome that no longer heats. A small community w/ no one locally that repairs. Nearest repairman is 25 miles away. Is there something I can try before calling a repairman or is it worth trying to repair?

Do you have a volt meter and know how to use it? Check the element for continuity. Test your thermostats for continuity. Clean the vent hose out and the you will need to open unit up and remove the blower housing and clean it througholy. Any blockage of the venting will produce "no heat" Not much to a dryer and easily repaired. Good Luck
