Is she a friend or not?
Ok so me and my best friend have been friends since 4ht grade but now I don't really know. We both play the same sport and all and I've missed 4 practices in a row cause I didn't feel like going to 3 of them and my dog need to go to the hospital cause she was really sick. So now my team is mad at me and they were talking s*** about me today and she joined in with them because she was mad at me too. But I know for a fact if it had been her who didn't come to practice I would have stood up for her. So now what I want to know is should I say something to her or what and this really isn't the first time something like this happened. One time last year some girl she met like 6 months ago told her that I was talking s*** about her and all and she believed her and didn't even ask me about it. So we got into this huge thing because she didn't want to hear me out and continued to believe her. But yea now all I want to know is do you think she is a true friend or someone who I can drop and find better (which will be hard since I don't like dropping friends) Please answer thanks

I would ask her about it and tell her calmly that you feel disappointed that she didn't stand up for you and tell her that if she was upset with you for missing practice that you wish she had brought up just between the two of you.

She may have been upset at you for missing practice and just vented out to the other girls. Did Coach give them a hard time since someone was missing? Did they have any issues with practice? Did they have to run laps over you not being there?
